Multiple default values - how?

Dear All,

I would like to have multiple default values for a field in TableA, which
are stored in a separate table (TableB), and can be automatically selected
depending on the value of another field in Table A. Could anyone show me how
to approach this problem?

Also, how can I have a default value with a more complex structure for a
field? Something like this:

Something
Indented something
Another thing

So, something with line breaks and tabs...

Any help is appreciated...

I think you're confusing the concepts of defaults and lookups.

If I understand correctly what you are wanting to do (automatically choose
one value for FieldA when the value in FieldB changes, but permit overwrites
to that automatic choice), you will need to use a form to do this - it can't
be done at the table level.
