Access 2002 #ERROR

I have a report in which I have 2 subreports, each with a subtotal in
the report footer.
I'd like to add the 2 subtotals together in the main report.
If one of the subreports doesn't have data for a given record in the
main report, I get #ERROR.
eg;

INVOICE # 1
TOTAL
Unit 1 5 lbs $2/lb $10
Unit 2 3 lbs $3/lb $ 9
Sub Total $19

Extra charge 1 $4
Extra charge 2 $6
Sub Total $10

Grand Total $29

The units are in 1 subreport, the extra charges in another. If there
are no units or no extra charges for an invoice, the grand total shows
as #ERROR.

Does anyone know how to correct this problem?
