Fields formatted as short time shows date on enter

Hello
My form is based on a query returning rows of a table. Practically, it
is based on a table, so simple the query is. A field on the form is
formatted as short time. The column in the table, on which this field
is based, is also formatted as short time. When the form opens,
everything is OK, the time field shows time as it should.

When user clicks in this field to edit it, the field all of a sudden
starts showing date 1/01/1900 + time. I do know, that dates are stored
in tables as numbers and what we see in fields is only a matter of
format. The problem is that I don't want users to see the date in this
field at all. Also, they have to highlight all this date and time
expression and overtype it, if they want to edit.

How can I avoid short time format turning into date format on entry
into the field?
Thank you.
