Mail Merge with Access and Word

I am new here, so please bare with me.

I have merged an Access query into Word, and the date field and time
field display different input masks than how they are set up in
Access.

I have checked the forms and tables, and the properties on these
fields are all set with the proper input mask, but they display
differently once merged with Word.

Ex: In Access, the input mask for the date field is long date, but it
displays as a short date once merged into Word.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You must force Word to use your preferred date format by using what Word
calls 'field switches' and are set up from the Word document or template.
You can get full details from the help file but in your case you simply need
to make sure your merge field says something like: { MERGEFIELD MyDate \@
"dd/MM/yyyy" }

Note you must use capital M for month - lower case m is for minute.
