Problem installing MS DE 2000

Hello,

I am trying to install MS DE 2000 - specifically that part which
enables creation of .MDE files out of my MDB files.

Could someone who has done this share some info, especially the steps
involved?

I inserted Disk 1 first and was told that I could find this i Disk 2.
So I replaced the CD with Disk 2. However, I do not find any
"autorun" or startup kicking off when Disk 2 is inserted.

Thanks in advance.

Uttam,
I don't have the Developer Edition of 2000 but IMO you don't need this to create mde's !
'Create mde' is a common menu-option. I think it's Tools <> Database utilities.
(I have the Dutch version here so I can't tell for sure)

Hope this helps

woah. slow down there. you don't install Microsoft SQL Server
Desktop Editions in order to create MDE's. a standard Access
installation will allow the creation of MDE's. just go to
Tools->Database Utilities->Make MDE.
