I'd forgotten. The new product activation scheme that is used with Office
2002 and Windows XP appears to have been applied to Office 2000 in Australia
(and elsewhere in the region?). Product activation being the 'use it 50
times before you have to register it' thing. My version of Office 2000
didn't have that. I'm in the UK. Though my copy of 2002 did, not that it's a
problem.

hi there,
if i buy a copy of access2000 today (new), will i have to register the
copy with Microsoft in order for it to work (like 2002)? will the
program not work (not install) otherwise? or are the older versions
still useable without registration.
thanks,
deb
