Source Object property with non dbo

Hello,

I am using an access 2000 project with sql srv 2000 as an
administrative tool to edit table data. I select the table names from
a combobox in an access form and use myform.SourceObject =
Table.dbo.mytable
StoredProcedure.dbo.sp_xxx etc. wich gives me the error
message "The form name you entered doesn't follow Microsoft Access
object-naming rules".
As a connected user of sysadmins role there is no prefix "dbo." added,
so that the form is fine. But connecting as a user who is not member
of sysadmins makes it impossible for me to use the form with
sourceObject property! (;-<)

Has anybody an idea how to generate a workaround to this microsoft
bug?

thanks a lot in advance

Stephan

I don't think Access likes dots in object names.

I've not used ADPs but in SQL Server the dbo. bit is the owner of the
object, in this case the dbo (DataBase Owner). If Fred creates a
table it will be called "fred.tablename". When accessing SQL Server
objects you need not specify the owner if fred specified "tablename"
then it will look for fred.tablename and if not found it will use
dbo.tablename.
