OT small footprint monitors

As this is the only technical newsgroup I read and contribute to I hope it's
ok to ask a quick bit of advice about small footprint monitors.

Basically I can't find any info about these kind of monitors and the online
suppliers that are based in the UK don't feature these as a sub-category. I
want a monitor that doesn't claim half my desk space but can't stretch to
the price of a LCD.

Any experience of this kind of hardware and/or recommendations out there?

thanks
Martin
