Navigation Buttons are controlled by the .NavigationButt ons property (Strangely enough.), and this can be set in code to True or False as required.

To refer to this property from the code of the main form you may need help from Referring to Items on a Sub-Form.

last time I deal with navigation button it confuse my head a lot haha

first you has to name your navigation correctly.
next, if you use 2D navigation, you have to remember in mind, the sub-navigation is not really sub-navigation.
it just under that group, but still have navigation button name.
if you use 1D navigation, everything will ezier.

first thing you have to do to determind what is the real navigation you have to select.
to do that --> open form in design mode --> choose properties from right-click on anywhere inside that form --> access will show up "property sheet"
choose your navigation by click on panel, your navigation name will appear in the highest box under the line "Selection type: navigation button"

then you can reference to that subform from nagivation button (actually, you see the subform but access don't see directly subform, it is navigation button that show up form in subform, so you can't "select property for subform". you should "select property of navigation button")

@zmbd: I'm sorry if my move affect you guy.
Sometime people don't wanna follow the link, or even follow the link but don't know where to start.

it take too much time to know what happen and received information not worth the effort. (like me)

sothat, with my little knowledge, I try to explain what I know, may be he will get it.

Then let them post back to the thread.

+ Assuming that someone doesn't want to make the effort to learn the information can be taken as an insult.

+ Attempting to explain something to an individual without the knowledge of where that person's understanding is at risks also insulting that person, worse yet, leads to unnecessary back-tracking and double posting of information to get the poster to the level of knowledge needed to provide an answer.

Hi Experts! I have several forms and reports where controls get their values with 'Forms!MainForm!Control' or 'Forms!MainForm!Subform!Control' resp 'Forms!MainForm!Subform.Form!Control' which works without any problem in Acc97, 2000 and 2002, but now in Access 2003 there seem to be a problem with this. A user is working with my app, and he uses an Access 2002 MDE in an Access 2003 environment.

I have created two forms: frmBrowseNegsMainform and frmBrowseNegsSubform. I put a subform control on the first of these. The SourceObject property for the subform control is, of course, frmBrowseNegsSubform. I would like to perform an ascending or descending sort on any of the 7 columns shown in datasheet view in the subform control. I've been unsuccessful. Is there something tricky about sorting in subform controls?

I need to be able to click on a subform control and open a form in acDialog mode. A subform control only has an Enter event and when I try that the code executes again when focus returns to the form with the subform. Is their a way to add a Click event to a subform control? If there is, I have several subforms on the same main form where I would need to select all the subforms and somehow add = MySubformFunction() to the click event of...

I have a subform control on a mainform. Each time I do anything experimentally with it - like even change its Width property, A97 takes the liberty of setting values in the link child field and link master field to a common field value. This is happening, I suppose, because I have purposefully left the two property settings empty. I'm just using the unbound subform control as a glorified list box. Can I prevent this undesirable...

When the vehicle entry form (frmVehicleEntryForm) first opens, the additional owner SubForm control (frmAddnlOwnrListSubForm) is enabled. You can click on it and it will accept the focus. But after you enter data to the first field on the main form (a VIN#), that is not the case. The SubForm control becomes disabled and will not accept the focus. Dunno why. There's no child/master link fields. They have no settings - at least not in design...

I have a form with a subform control on it listing records returned by a saved query named UnbilledVehicles. I would like to put command buttons on the main form to apply dynamic filters to the records displayed in the subform control. Say, for instance, to list only 2004 model cars. I'm seeking the simplest approach. The main form is frmCreateInvoice, the subform control is named frmCreateInvoiceSubFormCtl and the actual sub- form is...

I am using the Shortcut Menu Bar property of many combobox controls to execute a single shared custom function. When the function executes, I need it to immediately identify the following items: MainFormName, SubFormControlName (if this is a subform), and the ComboBox Control Name that launched the event. The following code seems to work, but I have my doubt. I am particulary concerned about the subForm control identity. If the

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
