Carriage Return Issue

I have a VBA function that returns a string including "vbcr" (VB Carriage
Return) to seperate a list into multiple rows, eg Item1 & vbcr & Item2 &
vbcr & Item3
This works as planned in the immediate window, producing a list where a
Carriage Return follows each item. But when I output the result into either
an Access query or form, instead of carriage returns I get little square
symbols between each of the items. Is anyone able to tell me how to achieve
my objective of getting carriage return characters in vba that Access can
interpret?

Standard Access controls require both a carriage return and a line feed. Use
vbCrLf instead.

Hello, I have several datagrids in my application. At the moment, data rows which are in editmode can only be saved by clicking the corresponding save button. I would like to add the function that users can save the rows by hitting carriage return when they have done their entries in HtmlInputText-boxes. At the moment, hitting carriage return simply does a postback without calling the save-funktion. Does anyone how that can be done?

Hi all, I am having a frustration problem, and I have read about 25 newsgroup postings that do not have a satisfying answer :) The problem appears to be common where carriage returns are lost when pulling data from an SQL database. The thing that frustrates me the most, is that when I use Enterprise Manager, the carriage returns ARE THERE. It looks fine until I pull it out.

I have a field in a SQL Server table named DetailedDescription that is a varchar. If the user adds/edits a detailed description, they do so in a MulltiLine TextBox control. Therefore, they are able to click enter on their keyboard and have multiple carriage returns inside the DetaildDescription. My problem is that I have another webpage in my project that has the following statement in it:...

Thanks in advance who will look at it. I have been encountering an issue which I can’t find a way out of it. What my pgm does: It (java codes) reads oracle table data and creates flat text data files. Another part of the program distributes the extracted text files to unix systems. Problem first occurred: Opening those files in Unix box shows carriage return in the middle of the record as well as at the end of the record.

I am using an FtpClient.cs that someone else created and when I'm uploading (it uses a Socket) a file a carriage return is getting deleted when the file appears on the ftp location. Normally this wouldn't be a huge issue but this file is encrypted and by losing this byte it's unable to decrypt successfully. Example of section where it errors out from original file (just file bytes): E6C5C22DB57E0D0A78E5936259DCF4D8 Example of section...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
