Footnote on image report

Hi everyone,

I have spent several hours on this topic, and I still don't have the
right solution.

However, you guys can accomplish in 5 minutes much more then I can
accomplish in 5 hours. :-)

OK here is my issue,

The structure of my DB is like this, main table with several sub
tables. Each record on each table can have only one image. However,
each image can be one or multiple pages. (It can reach more then 40
pages per record)

All of the images are black and white. I don't need any special
features when viewing/Printing it.

Each record of the 10 tables has only one field called
"Image" that I would like to use for the link to the image.

I have a report that prints all data inputted into the main tables,
and form the sub tables.

I also would like to include into this report (or send as a separate
report, which ever will be easer to setup) a copy
all of related images.
At that point, I would like to add a footnote at the bottom of each
image.

The footnote should be my company's name

The way I was thinking to prepare the images report. Is like this,
create a query that collects all links to the appropriate images, add
them to an image control, and add the annotation at the bottom of the
report.
(This way I'm not modifying the scanned images)

NOW, if there is a way to scan all 40 pages at once and have the
computer take all 10 image files and export it to one big file, and
add the annotation at the bottom. That will be excellent.

(This might be done without using any MsAcess utilities)

If that's not possible and I have to scan each page separately, what
is the correct way to store the link to the images?

If possible I would also like to use one automation feature, that
will automatically name the scanned images (while scanning it) based
on a combination of some fields on the main record/table.
This can be very useful. However, this is only a plus, and can be
discussed latter.
I'm thanking all of you in advanced

Thanks
Joe

In a book, a footnote is presented at the bottom of the page, in a slightly smaller type. converting a book to html, pages are bottomless, so we can put the footnote in a separate link, or create a footnote div class that floats right. Links are probably what the author would have used had he been writing in html, but divs that float right are closer to the spirit of the original work, and enables the footnote to be seen in context,...

In VB6.0, I can put an image on a form and assign it's .picture property at run-time. In VBA (within MS Access), when I put down an image control on a form, it asks me for the source to the image (at design-time). Why? Why can't I find PictureBox in VBA within MS Access? And most importantly...why can't I put either in a Report within MS Access? What I really want is to be able to display pictures in an MS Access report (pictures...

The solution you suggested works very good - thanks again. I encountered a new problem related to this topic. According to your advise I put the following line to print and format event: Me.BookCover.Picture = IIf(Me.IsCover= true, Me.BookCoverPath, "") to avoid problems when the file specified in field does not exist I add a logical field to source table: indicating physical presence of the file. Surprisingly when there is no file ...

I'm working on distributing a database using VS Tools for Office, and am having trouble with linked images on forms/reports. The image objects have a default path\file set on the .Picture property, which becomes invalid when the user installs the database (ie: c:\devpath\ becomes c:\program files\mydbapp, but the .Picture property still points to c:\devpath\) The problem is that I don't *know* what installation path the user will select,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
