A lost field

I have belatedly discovered an odd problem. I created a new memo field
called "IntellectualAc cessNotes" in a replicated table . I put it into
a form and people have been entering data into it and the data is
showing up in the right places in reports and everything is working
fine. However the field no longer appears in either the design view or
the datasheet view of the table. If I open the forms and reports that
already include the field and view a field list, it is not on the
list.

I finally discovered that it is showing up in the available field list
within the query and form wizards. If I select it in the query wizard
to include in the query and then look at design view, instead of
simply reading as the field name, the query insists on repharasing it
as Expr1:= [IntellectualAcc essNotes] and again the field does not show
up in the field list above the query design.

Is there a way to solve this and what is the cause? Should I leave
well enough alone?

I appreciate the help,

Jonathan

Hi folks, I have a client with four websites. Each site has a contact form that is identical. They all have "required" fields validated through a JavaScript onSubmit() function. Upon validation, post values go to a PHP processing page that adds values to a database and generates an email to someone in marketing. For three of these sites, we have no problem, but the fourth keeps sending in blank forms.

Hi, Hopefully it's just me missing something obvious (but at 2AM, not much is obvious, I guess...) I have a table of courses that people have taken (StudentID,CourseID) and the user selects a student from a combobox on the form, and it highlights courses in the student's specialization (that's fine). But when I run the code to change the font's ForeColor property, the FontBold property mysteriously gets lost. Is my code just screwy or...

Hi all, I've a form containing some textbox fields. I wrote a simple code to check if the field is blank in lost focus event, an msg box will be shown to remind user about it. But don't why the lost focus event is triggered when the form is shown. I suppose the check code is effective after the form is loaded. Anyone could help? Thanks Best Rdgs Ellis

Referential Integrity on one of our production tables seems to have been lost. I am running Postgres 7.1.3 embedded within Red Hat kernel-2.4.9-e.49. Within that I have a table with referential integrity constraints which no longer work. I do not know how to disable referential integrity on a column in a table. I do not know how to view what Postgres thinks my referential integrity

Hi all! I have run into some strange behaviour in XmlSerializer. (.net 2.0) 1. I have a normal (but quite large) XSD-schema and an XML-file that is valid. 2. I use xsd.exe to generate classes. 3. I deserialize the xml-file with XmlSerializer.deserialze() to an

I have a asp:textbox which I've applied a javascript function to strip off all non-numeric chanarcters. The js function is triggered with the textbox's onblur attribute. I also have a rangevalidator to make sure the value entered is numeric and is between 1 & 999999. The custom js works fine. If someone enters 7,777 or even something invalid like 7,7,7,7, all the commas are stripped off as soon as they tab off the field and all that is...

In my main form I have a field that I can scroll with my mouse to advance to any name. I have put code in this field so that On Lost Focus the cursor moves to a new record in subform . My problem is I can't click back on the LastName field and scroll because the scroll function is remaining in the subform. How can I regain control? Thanks Part 2: I tried moving the above command to AfterUpdate but now my code will not take me to the new...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
