How to get records to display under more than one category field

ken
I have a 2000 database of celebrities. Fields include : first name,
last name and series 1, series 2, series 3.

Can I get a report that would list, for example, Lorne Greene under a
group "Bonanza" no matter whether "Bonanza" is in any of the series
fields, and also have him under a group for the series "Battlestar
Galactica"?

If you can just point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Not sure about your question, but just to be on the same page, a
relational system like Access (or pseudo relational) works ideally in a
vertical manner, meaning data is read from the top down. Here is a
sample table

fName lName show
Lorne Green Bonanza
Lorne Green Battlestar Galactica
Lorne Green David Letterman
Charlton Heston Planet Of the Apes 1
Charlton Heston Planet Of the Apes 2
Charlton Heston Planet Of the Apes 3
...
Michael Landon Bonanza
Pernell Roberts Bonanza

If you create a report on a table like this and want to view only
Bonanza characters, base the report on a query which has a criteria of
"Bonanza" in the show field.

You want a different database design, something like this (* means primary
key, + means unique index)
Celebrities
-----------------------------
* CelebrityID
+ CLastName
+ CFirstName
CBirthdate
CBirthplace
CResidence
....
....
Series
----------------------------
* SeriesID
+ SeriesName
SStartYear (year Series started)
SEndYear (year Series ended)
SNetwork (network airing Series)
....
....
Celebrities_Ser ies
----------------------------
* CelebrityID
* SeriesID
CSStartYear (year celebrity started on the Series)
CSEndYear (year celebrity ended on the Series)
....
....
Now you can add as many Series as you want to each Celebrity.

I guess I should have explained it better! I would only wish for one
occurrence (record) of "Lorne Greene" for example, but would want to
code that record so that a report sorted by TV Shows (Series) would list
him once under "Bonanza" and once again under "Battlestar Galactica".

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
