I recently upgraded the motherboard, CPU and RAM of my PC. During boot the keyboard and mouse (ordinary USB) will work fine, as soon as the windows load screen starts they both lose all power.
Please advise

re: Mouse And keyboard not working on boot

What version of windows are you running? Have you installed the motherboard drivers in windows yet? Do you have a USB to PS2 converter? If so connect it up and see if you can maintain power to at least your keyboard so you can log in and install drivers. Does your keyboard or mouse work in safe mode? try booting into safe mode and see if they work. Does the keyboard work when you load into bios, or can you even load the bios manager?

re: Mouse And keyboard not working on boot

Just had a similar problem. BIOS report will indicate that both mouse and keyboard are working before loading Windows (XP). I never learned what the cause was but devices connected through the USB ports suddenly won't work (mouse, keyboard, flash devices) once the Windows loading screen started. I connected the keyboard using PS2 and it worked just fine. I then rolled back my computer just to solve the problem.
