Boot idles on Applying Security Settings

Sir,
In our company we are having around 75 computers.
Out of these one of the client's computer having Win 2K OS installed.
Nowadays whenever we switched ON the system, its hanging simply by showing 'Applying Security Settings' screen. But not logging in.

Anybody have a solution please.....

I'm not sure what causes this, but to resolve it I would attempt to remove the machine from the domain before adding it back in. This is Group Policy related I'm fairly sure.
