Hi,

I have a computer that is running 24/7 which is connected to the internet and is accessed remotely. The problem I am having is that people in the office in which it is located are using it to browse internet. I cannot lock the screen as these people are supposed to be monitoring realtime data on it.

Is there anyway which I can stop people browsing the web?

Thanks in advance.

A few ways you could do it.

1. Set the PC's firewall to block http port 80.
2. If you have a router you can set it to block port 80 for that PC only.
3. Rename iexplorer.exe to something else.
4. Set the options in IE to use a proxy server but just give it a bogus proxy to connect to.

It shouldn't cause you any problems unless you are using some sort http based remote connection.
