Hi everyone,i have got about 6 USB ports in my computer.
Yesterday when i connected my mobile phone to one USB port,a tooltip window popped out and showed 'This device may perform faster in USB2'.
Now,how do i find out which one of the 6 ports is USB2?
Also, can someone explain what USB2 is pls.

re: Finding USB2

What it means is USB 2.0, which is a newer standard than USB 1.0 - which that USB Port is probably using. You say, that there are 6 USB Ports on your computer. If they are at different positions, some of those might be USB 2.0, while those near to each other are probably the same.

You can read a bit more about it on Wikipedia.

re: Finding USB2

Look at the specifications on your computer. What computer/model number is it? Try plugging the cord into the back, then into the front and see if one of them doesn't show that popup. If both show that pop-up it could be that the cord/phone is only USB 1.0.
