Power Point 2007 special symbol input add-in problem

Powerpoint experienced a serious problem with the 'office special symbol input add-in' add-in. if you have seen this message multiple times, you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want to disable this add-in?

This laptop is running Windows Vista with Office 2007. When I tried to open the power point slides, there was nothing happen. All other office applications worked fine.

After I restarted the system, this message popped up when I fired up a plain Power Point. Yes, I disabled the add-in and then it worked fine.

The questions are what causes this problem and how can I find the updates for this add-in for Power Point 2007?

I've also got this problem. Has anybody tried to report it to Microsoft yet? Or has found a solution?? X
