usb hard disk..

can any one please suggest me that how to get it back the laptop ide connector to working condition
previously its connected to xp laptop and connected another hard drive, now its showig that driver is not installed for this, if i chek in device manager an yellow flag is showing, and i am getting option to reinstall, if i try also its not getting,
i tried in another system also which is windows 2000,no use, when i insert that usb its showing installing cypress and some code...

Let me get this straight, you have a usb hard drive and it is no longer connecting to your laptop? If this is correct then...

Try a different USB cable and make sure you have the right drivers. If all fails you can take the HDD out of the enclosure and plug into a regular pc as a slave and try and rescue your files.

i already posted about this, but now it's little bit ok for u i think to solve my problem,
in office we are using one usb connector to connect laptop hard drive, i tried by connecting in xp machine, its showing in notification area and in device manager usb, hard disk is spinning but i dint find any changes in my computer(new drive).......any solutions plz...

if any thing required plz ask and try to solve my problem .....
