I can't run IE6 on XP Pro SP2 apparently due to a profile problem. It began to hang ıp. When I create another user there is no problem; it runs fine. However I don't want to delete my admin user due to all the material in it. I want to keep on using it. How do I point the Admin user to a new profile in the same PC, and what shd the profile contain?

The best solution: Upgrade to IE7. If you hate it, you can go back to IE6, but this is not recommended.

re: XP Pro user profile problem

Birol you have two solutions

1. Get Firefox at link

2. go to c:\documents and settings\ and copy the admin folder to c:\backup

creat a new user and copy/paste all your documents, favorites, decktop to the new user folder from the c:\backup\administrator

Best luck, Cyber.
