Hi Peb how are you? Well it looks to me like you are setting up the DNS in your router to be like this:
DNS Server 1: your server ip
DNS Server 2: your isp dns
DNS Server 3: your isp dns
isp = Internet Server Provider*
Well what needs to be done is that you should just leave the first DNS Server 1 to point to your static server ip address on your ROUTER leave the other 2 DNS addresses blank.
On the Server Side setup the two DNS addresses given by your ISP to be forwarded by the server back to the machine or device that requests it.
The way you do this is by going to Star> Control Panel> Administrative tools> DNS
in there right click on the server and go to Configure a DNS Server a wizard will lunch and ask you a few question and do a check list just plug in the numbers and your scenario and you should be good to go =)
