im getting an error when installing visual studio 6 in window xp.here is the error "set up is updating the system".then DCOM user account cannot register c:\program files\VSS\VS-Ent98\analyser.exe..........

plz...help me

I modified your title to see if you can get added hits on it. Changed it from
"visual basic 6"

to

"visual basic 6, error when installing visual studio 6 in window xp"

You might also want to try the Windows based forum...

XP? If on vista I would say run as admin... but... hmmm... can you ignore this error and continue?
