followhyperlink bizarre problem... Any help would be great!

Has anyone ever come across this problem before, or got any insight as to what may be causing it...


I am using application.followhyperlink to open files in a directory from an MS Access form...

If i set the button to open .doc files they open without a hitch.

However, simply then changing the extension to .pdf the relevant file no longer opens.

Adobe acrobat seems to initialise then shut is self immediately?

And this has happened on more than one pc so i dont think it can be a software issue?

Anyone got any guesses?

Can you show us an example of one of the .DOC hyperlinks and one of the .PDF ones? Perhaps there's a subtle difference.
