Still need help getting OneClick app to get to first user code line

I can get a dump. I can send it in to M$. I can inspect it but cannot
get it in my hands so I can not post it here and get comments and/or
answers. Can I get hold of that dump somewhere? Is it all in memory or
is a file written somewhere on the failing machine's HD?

The application does not get to the first line of user code.

It is completely repeatable. I have repeated it over and over and sent
in the dump several times.

I have inspected the required elements and all of them are listed in on
the References page (after I manually added some that let the program
run on one additional machine). I assume this means they are bundled
and distributed and installed. I may be wrong.

Does anyone reading this have access to submitted dumps? If so, the
program name is "PVM1010 Companion". (If not, the name is "Output from
high priced compiler will never run on remote systems".) If they are
indexed, it should be able to be found. This is all guesswork since I
have no idea if anyone even looks at submitted dumps since there is no
feedback from M$.

How can I find out what it wants to run long enough to execute my first
line of code?

Yes, I have asked this before but the thread died. I really want to be
able to distribute this program and have it not abort. This is going to
Admin XP priv users. No Vista. Nothing special that I know of going
on.

Are you saying you have a ClickOnce deployed application that doesn't work?
What about it doesn't work? Does it install correctly? Are the files in the
deployment folders? What kind of application is it? Be more specific.

Ok, now I remember you from your other posts. Can you check the deployment
folders and make sure everything is there, then double-click on the exe file
and see if the application runs that way.

re: Still need help getting OneClick app to get to first user code line

That's just the problem. I have no idea why it will not work and
nothing I can find will tell me, either.

It fails BEFORE my first executable code, does a dump which I cannot get
my hands on and then all is done! All I can do is submit it and that is
the end of that.

I forced four files into the distribution (two winsocks and two chart
ones) and that made it run on one more machine but it still fails on all
others.

So I am still nowhere trying to get this app to get to my first
statement. Something, somewhere is missing and I am not getting any
help deciding what it is that is left out.

ALL help, pointers, suggestions, etc. appreciated and implemented. I am
completely out of ideas!

What constitutes "everything"? Will be glad to but I don't know how to
determine what else is required.

re: Still need help getting OneClick app to get to first user code line

So at this point, I have to ask. Is this a Windows Forms application of a
WPF application, or is it a windows service or console app?

If it is a windows service, you can't use ClickOnce to deploy that. Not sure
about console app. ClickOnce is designed for desktop applications.

Per my other post, look in the deployment folders and see if all of the
files are there that you expect to be deployed.
