Software Developer III, Visual Basic
Task Description:
The incumbent in this position will create an integrated environment
between Business Process Modeling, Business Rules Modeling, Logical
Design, and Physical Design using Rational products as the modeling
tool and artifact repository using Visual basic programming for the IRS
CADE Project. Also, the incumbent will: modify tools to fine tune
processes and integrate the models across the Business, Logical and
Physical views; and, provide a complete range of VB programming support
for the System Development Process with tool customizations.
Statement of Work:
This project will incrementally design, develop and implement a data
foundation that includes the creation of on-line transactional
processing data stores of "record" for taxpayer returns and
accounts. It will replace the existing tape-based master files and
Integrated Data Retrieval System (IDRS) with new technology, new
applications and new data bases. CADE will allow employees to post
transactions and update taxpayer accounts and return data from their
desks. Updates will immediately be available to anyone who has
authorized access to data and will provide a complete, timely and
accurate account of the taxpayer's information. Taxpayers will be
removed from the master files as they are added to the modernized
systems.
Minimum of 5 Years of Experience
Primary Skills:
Visual Basic Programming skills, Object Oriented design experience
using UML, Rational Rose or other similar tools, Prepare and produce
design specs from information obtained from Rational, Generate
traceability reports from Rational data, Generate design spec impact
reports based on the models, Writes Technical Specifications, Ability
to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Specialized Areas of Expertise:
Established Visual Basic Programming Skills
MBI Clearance Preferred
