Solaris DSN to SQL 2000

has anyone configured a ODBC DSN on Solaris to a SQL 2000 server?

I have read about a need for odbc.ini and setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH but outside of that I have not found clear instructions.

try www.iodbc.org. this site contains a driver manager and is open source
