vi editor error

Hi everybody,

i am getting the following error when tried to open a file.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. ##### Error start
  2. E297: Write error in swap file
  3. "import.pl" 681L, 23883C
  4. Error detected while processing /usr/share/vim/vim70/ftplugin/perl.vim:
  5. line   49:
  6. E483: Cannot get temp file name
  7. Press ENTER or type command to continue
  8.  
  9. #### Error end
After pressing enter file is getting opened but i am unable to save any changes.

could you please tell me how to solve this?

re: vi editor error

hi,
i found out the reason..
my disk is almost full.
so vim is unable to create swap file/temp file
freed the disk space to some extent.... so problem solved.
