Anyone know of free winhelp or similiar software that i can use within delphi software?

Hey, great idea: Ask Google (or any other search engine of your choice)! Try searches like "winhelp delphi". It really works!

WinHelp is an obsolete format for Help which is no longer supported by Microsoft in Vista/Seven. There are various tools that you can use to create modern CHM help files (you can search google to find one). But not all of them are freeware. I used H&M before but recently moved to HelpSmith as it is much less expensive and does what I need.
