I want to get certified in PHP.

Which exam would be most beneficial if I'm finding a job in the area?

Thanks!

From an employer's standpoint, PHP Certification would be best gotten
from Zend. Otherwise, it is like getting an ASP cert from Macromedia...
Then again, how many employers would really know the difference. ;)

US$200

Of course, if you're looking for a less expensive way to go, you could
start with Brainbench:

US$49.95

Zend PHP Certification

"As the PHP company, Zend has been approached by many asking it to
establish an industry standard in PHP certification that recognizes PHP
expertise."

Isn't certificate for people who don't know enough but they want a piece of
paper to certify that they are experts???!!!

Just look at the M$ certifications. I think they are absolutely useless, at
least in my opinion. Your knowlwdge stays the same, your expectations go
higher = you are less employeable!!!!

I know people who got MS certification in particular subject areas they had
only just started learning, and they passed with flying colours despite
hardly knowing anything. Unfortunately I don't think the employers realise
just how valueless a lot of these certs are; a lot of them think you must
have certification to prove you are any good.
