I do, but I must admit I don't use it anymore because I find it very heavy with stuff, and mods are not all open source. What did you want to know?

re: joomla registration

basically the story goes a friend of mine is starting a social networking site so he hired a developer who used jomsocial as the base but messed that up and ruined the coding....he then hired another guy who made it even worse.....

i had a look at the coding but i haven't used joomla for a long time, i couldn't repair it myself the site is all over the place and the coding is mixed and matched with different templates from what the other developers has done. the registration doesn't work properlly, when you delete your account it doesn't delete all the info from the DB, uploaded images aren't being showed properlly and the layout is a complete mess

i can't post the code on here because there is so much of it (typical joomla) but i could prob get ftp details for you to look at it....you will be paid for the job in dealing with the problem and rectifying the mistakes of previous developers

please let me know if this is ok?

I guess it would be easier to recreate it from scratch…

im in the process of recreating it all without joomla (as a favour) but to them its a matter of urgency as they have been trying to get it running for months.

Can't they re-buy Jomsocial and then go from there? I am 99% sure that if you go to the Joomla! forums and post a job, there will be a lot of takers. That's one of the reasons I don't like Joomla!, filled with people wanting to make money off the free platform.

If you got money to spend, Joomla! forums will do it for you.

Sorry if I sounded like I was turning you away, but Joomla! PHP, as you already said, is best dealt with by Joomla! people, and seeing as you have a budget, I am sure you will find Joomla! people ready to "lend" a hand. Otherwise, you know Bytes, let us know if you get stuck doing it yourself.
