What profiler tool do you recomend for testing a web app (php5 + windows
xp + apache2) in enviroiment od medium to heavy user load (it would be
good if I could set the number of requests per second myself) for
resource usage and response speed. Any recomendations?

Best regards,

APD is the most standard one. For more information, look at:
http://us3.php.net/manual/en/ref.apd.php.

I believe that ActiveState has something on the commercial basis, too.
