PHP Portal from scratch

Hi People,

I want to make a PHP Portal from scratch to develop my self better and
gain experiance, do anyone know a link to a good free tutorail for
making a PHP-Portal from scratch, or something related..
Please help me...

I have found this one: didn't use it because it works only on php5 and I
my provider is using older version. worked on my mac, but useles until I
will be able to install it on web...
