fetching rows from database in HIndi

I am a perl developer and I am facing a problem with hindi font ,when i store Hindi font in the Database as UTF-8 data type and try to retrive(fetch the rows) the data in my program using DBI,it gives ??????? as a result.help me with this ..if anyone can.i desired hindi language font to be my result and now ????????
