Hi All

I'm a student and I've started my experience with Oracle. I must train
Oracle Designer, beacuse of this I've instaled Oracle9iDS but if I want to
start Oracle designer, it ask's me about username, password and connect
string and I don't know what to type in.
My question is:
Should I have oracle database to use the designer? If not what should I do
to use Oracle Designer.

Thanks a lot for helping me

Michal

Hi Michal

I suggest for learning not to use oracle designer rather use something
like ERWIN..which is much easier to start with. For designer you need
to have a databse installed..something like username/password@string
scott/tiger@orcl..it depends on the oracle database u created.

Designer requires an Oracle database to store it's repository
