ORACLE 9i

My computer is Intel 945GL with 2.66Ghz processor and 256 MB RAM. But my systems becomes very slow when load Oracle 9i. How can I increase the processing speed after loading Oracle 9i. ?

That is a tiny amount of RAM. Starting a server in that small RAM is causing the rest of your system to be swapped back and forth out of memory and to the Page File.

as suggested it seems your problem is low RAM.

and if system is getting slow because of Oracle u can make the oracle service Maual instead of default automatic from controlpanel----admintoll----services.

that will help.
