writing codes

I am working on a project in wireless sensor networks. I would like to know whether c programming language will be suitable for writing codes. If not which will be more suitable?

That should work - you'd probably be able to write in any language that had a wireless library, or even just a networking library depending on the implementation (the OS can take care of a lot of stuff, if you let it), I'd focus on whatever you are most comfortable with.
