intranet system

hello everybody,

i am a new member and thanks for accepting me as a member of this educative and informative site.


i am programer and wants to design an intranet for my organisation. please i want to know what an intranet development entails and how to go about it.

I guess you're in the wrong forum. This is the PHP (programmer's) forum. For any intranet design questions and issues you'd better look in the Networking forum. I'll move this thread to that forum.

There's not much to it really

set-up a webserver on a computer that is local to your network

Write the webpages that are going to available on the intranet

If you have a local DNS then you may wish to set-up a entry so that the intranet has a specific name rather than the name of a computer but this is absolutely required.
