This is the Articles section and not the forum. You will find a list of forums under the Forums tab.
If you have an article on topic that you wish to share with the community you can post it here.
However, please do not post threads that simply link to articles in other forums. This area is for articles written for Bytes.

hi
please change the button name from START A NEW DISCUSSION TO mean something similar to submit a new article.
newcomers mistake it to start a new conversation.
if its SUBMIT AN ARTICLE then it wont be of much confusion

if its SUBMIT AN ARTICLE then it wont be of much confusion | So you see a button labeled 'START A NEW DISCUSSION' and just below in
huge capitals you see a topic title 'DO NOT POST QUESTIONS HERE'.
Doesn't that scare you off for a moment or so? Doesn't that make your think
"huh?" at the least? Wouldn't that make you curious what that topic has to
say about all the 'confusing' matters?
kind regards,
Jos

Title could be anything. Your focus should be on the main module name not what you or anyone call it. Doesn't make any sense.

I have three tabs. Topics, Jobs, and Community. I know I"m not suppose to ask questions here, but how do I get into forms to ask questions and help others with their questions?
I did have a forms tab just after the site redesign. I'm not sure if privileges are incorrect for my account or not (no advanced privileges please). I'm sure if that is the case, it would be the case for most people when the change happened.
When I did see the Forms tab, it came after the topics tab. This is great for having people research their question before they post, but is very annoying for me.
The first thing I want to do is see what new questions have been posted so I can either help, or learn from what they asked. The first tab being topics, I often found myself reading over topics, looking for questions that have not been answered.
Hopefully Helpful,
TamusJRoyce

It is a strange organization at the moment, I agree. Just so you know, the Answers subforum is where all the questions are. So when you choose .NET from the Topics list, you need to then choose Answers. Same goes for C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET.

Knowing that makes it very easy to get around. Thanks insertAlias for your help.
