Hope someone can help.
I am attempting to include Crytal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 as prerequisite for my .Net 2.0 windows form application on Vista/XP. Whether I select "... download from vendor" or "...download from location". It does not install when using the generated msi. Interestingly when choosing "...download from location" the necessary files are included in the installer but do not install.
The .Net framework is also a prerequisite, this installs ok.
I am not sure if you can still use the merge modules with VS2008 version of Crystal Reports. I believe the recommended method is to use the redistributables as explained above for VS2008.
The files included are CRRedist2008_x86.msi and CRRedist2008_x64.msi.
