Hi,
I'm a C#/SQL Server developer and I'm having a technical problem with
Windows Domain permissions. My problem has nothing to do with development but
I thought maybe someone out there would be able to help me (or at least tell
me where I should post this question).
My problem is as follows: I use Virtual Server to host a number of virtual
machines to test the software I develop under different environments. I
created these virtual machines myself and I regularly create new ones and
overwrite old ones. Whenever I create a new VM, I have to get hold of the
network administrator to add the VM to the domain. He does not want to give
me administrator rights on the domain, but is happy to give me permission to
add machines to the domain. Unfortunately he does not know how to give me
permission to do this. We have a Windows 2003 network using Active Directory.
Does anyone know how to grant a user permission to add machines to a domin?
Thanks,
Regards,
Larry
