MySQL-Front Gmbh sits on the Task Bar and can't get up

Hi, I have been using MySql-Front Gmbh right up until Monday 7-14-2007, when after downloading a bunch of stuff and keeping dozens of files and windows open for a couple of days, I try to start MySql-Front Gmbh to check a data property, and it won't open up into a window, but failing at that, sits down on the TaskBar and can't get up.

Is that an Operating System goof up, as I suspect, or something gone wrong with MySql-Front Gmbh (hereafter MSFG) ? MSFG has been a big help to me in programming the database functions at http://SuchABuy.com - I never could have done it with PHPAdmin .

If it is an OpSys problem (programs lying down on the TaskBar, and crying "Help, I've fallen, and I can't get up!"), I guess I could try a Restore Point.

But maybe it is a MSFG dis-repair. Is there a Detect & Repair approach for a program we can't access (because it won't stand up)? Or do I have to Un-install and hope to be able to Re-Install. (A lot of searching finds people saying the program is not available, anymore - but it was working for my until Monday, May 14, 2007)

I think it is an Operating System foul-up. But how - if so - do we repair the OpSys so the program can function normally?

Thanks.

Hi rollo Gerfollo,

Welcome to the scripts. While it may be an operating System fault, it sounds like it may have been caused by your MySQL, so I will redirect you to that forum to see if any experts there may have had experience with similar problems.

If required you can post straight to that forum in future by selecting MySQL forum under the "Forums" tab on the blue bar at the top of the screen.

I hope you find the information you need!

Not having any experience with that program, I would still assume that a half way decently build program would attleast show you an error message if MySQL was giving it problems.

Have you tried any other programs, like say the MySQL CLI, just to see if MySQL works as it should?

If it does, I would think your program has just crashed and apparently burned. I would try to re-install it. It that does not fix it, or other programs start acting like this, my quess would be that it is an OS problem.

Simple question: have you restarted your machine?
