Looking for Reliable Dedicated/Managed Server In the UK

Hi all,

I'm doing a little research into Windows-based managed/dedicated servers.

There are a few companies that provide what I want with a reputation to back it up: rackspace.co.uk (recommended by a few people) and zen.co.uk (from personal experience of other products).

Both of these solutions are at the upper end of the price bracket (between £250 and £400 per month based on dedicated or managed). I've also found lots and lots of other providers offering servers for under £100 per month. But I’ve not found any middle ground; say ~£150 / month.

Ideally what I'm looking for is:

1. A site where dedicated hosting companies are compared and reviewed (not general hosting review sites)
2. Suggestions for decent companies who provide dedicated/managed servers (experience in dealing with the companies would be appreciated)

I'm not too bothered about paying for the upper-end providers because the server will be running a critical web site and database server, but I’d like to investigate all options.

Any advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Rackspace is going to be on the very high end of your servers. They quite honestly are the highest priced and from experience they charge you for every little thing. If you looking for a good managed server I would suggest Server Intellect. They have the same if not better response times for critical websites and even have some multi server solutions for that critical site. I have used Server Intellect now for 2 years without any issues and there response time is fantastic.
