very much a novice -- being new to this forum, and new to forums in general, i have a number of questions. how do i find:
1. the "how do i" pages, without hunting and pecking. where is a place that lists what's in those pages? when i search, i always get a message that some one of my words is too short, so can't find the pages of instructions i am looking for.
2. a course of conversation, in its entirety, sequentially, not my paragraphs on one page, and my correspondent's parts on another page.
3. an outbox. is there one? or a "sent" letters? i wrote a letter, did a preview of it, edited it, and submitted it... i'd like to see what was actually sent.
4. messages saved? in my stumbles through this system i run into a page that tells me i have 5 messages saved. where do i find what they are.
i hope you all have infinite patience, as you help me learn my way around. thank you. sambacat

all, i found the messages saved box, and know how to get there again. and now, surprise, surprise, i also know where my "sent" letters are. so questions #3 and #4, are essentially answered.
but don't know if there is an outbox, yet. chanita

Hi sambacat!
If with the "how do i" you mean our Howtos, they are now called insights and you have a button right at the top on your navigation bar called insights. You can check out the various insights forums from there.
I'm not quite sure where the question in #2 lies, so can you point it out more clearly?
What exactly do you mean with "Outbox" - saved but not sent messages?

nepomuk.... thanks for the "insight." (tijiji)
as for question #2, i didn't explain it very well, i guess. didn't know the right words. with this thread, i can see our posts sequentially. in reading visitors messages, i can click on "view conversation," and see my posts and theirs in sequence. in private messages, however, i can only look at my posts, or the other person's posts, but can't get them all on the "same page," so to speak.
an adminstrator has written to tell me that private messages are stand alone communications, and that the only way to keep everything together is to keep everything together with the quotes. either way is unwieldy.
a work-around on that would be to just copy and paste to a folder over in my documents, i guess.
------------------------------------------
an outbox: "drafts"? as in: i've written something, but am not ready to send it just yet. or, i'm writing something, not finished yet, and have to go do something else for awhile. the work-around, i know, would be to work on my post over in my documents, but i do like to keep everything in one place. i lose enough stuff, as it is.

Ah, now I understand. As far as I know, there is no such Drafts folder here. The PM system isn't intended to replace emails and such, as far as I'm concerned. But I guess, it is a thought to be considered.
