hi everybody,
i need to do a website in php so i need a functionality of sending SMS to mobiles.
So could anyone please send me the website link for registering the SMS Gateway in India.

Yes it's true google will help you.... there are many websites which providing the same functionality as you wants... for example 160by2.com,waytosms.com,gosms.in which allows users to send free sms to mobile...

Hi, I have an sms gateway API which sends sms to any mobile in India without using a GSM modem, If u want that then PM me (The API is written in C#)

You can send sms without using gsm modem by using other web services like 160by2.Com u can easily send sms

Let me try and answer your questions.
Do you need to receive SMS? If you need to receive SMS, you will need to host your own GSM device or modem so that people can send you SMS.
If not, you can just use internet SMS gateways like clickatell to do the work, and post to them by HTTP, XML or email. The cost is about 6-8 cents per SMS. There are cheaper services, but not always reliable. If you need to host your own GSM device, you can use software like http://www.kannel.org (GPL Open Source) or http://visualtron.com/enterprise/sms-gateway.

I think Wadja - Developer Tools is a good SMS Gateway, my friend is using it to send SMS in India.

lparker3470, did you even read this thread? There are several sites mentioned, that do that. Also, you can search for such services, e.g. with Google.

You need to use httpWebRquest to make request to the free sms website....
and also use Screen Scraping in C# ..

SMS gateways are not strictly a software solution. You need to have hardware and support from your local wireless carrier.
