Hi all,

I have a Windows server 2003 iis6 and need to run a patch/fix,
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms05-041.mspx
which takes care of some system vulnerability.

My questions:
1. How do i know if this patch already installed on my machine? i have the Autoupdate on shouldn't it be already on my system.

2. In case that i ran the patch and something goes wrong how do i roll back to my previous position?
I understand that i should backup my system etc, but is there a quicker way to roll back the changes.. (like a restore point..)

TIA

re: run a security patch

This situation doesn't make sense to me or it does only if you have limited exp as a server admin. This patch is from 2005, it might be a bit late to be applying 4 years later - is there a later one?

Which service pack of Windows server 2003 do you have installed? BTW - that your system has IIS installed doesn't make this a IIS question...
