Safari/Explorer Dropdown Conflict

I've read all the posts about this type of thing and most of it seems to be down to the z-index.
However, my problem seems a little different-the dropdowns are perfect in Firefox and safari but are in completely in the wrong part of the page AND the dropdowns don't work.
The site is www.afroditewigs.co.uk. Does anybody have any ideas, I'm getting a bit desperate!

I think it will help to clarify the question.

1/ The menu is positioned in the same place on your page in the latest versions of Mac OS X 10.4.11 Safari, FF, Opera, Camino, SeaMonkey, and WebKit; and, the same is true in XP IE/7.0 and XP IE/6.0.

What Operating System and in what browsers, and what browser versions is the menu not positioned correctly on your end?

2/ The drop-down menu appears to be "dropping -down" and functioning as expected in all of the above browsers with the exception of XP IE/6.0.

It doesn't work in IE 5.2.
If its working properly in all those browsers you mentioned maybe there is no problem.
But I stopped off at an internet cafe last week and it didn't work, also, Paypal were verifying my site and also said that they were having problems with the dropdown menus.....

I wrote that the drop-down menu does not work in XP IE/6.0. Apparently, it does work for you in IE/6.0. If so, I find it hard to believe it is working in that browser on your end, but not on this end. What operating system are you viewing IE/6.0 in? Are you on an IE/6 native box or a standalone version.

You have very little chance of getting that page functional in Mac IE/5.2. I'd forget Mac IE/5.2 (it's ancient history); or, just feed it content, minus styles. IE/6 is a different matter. It is still a "live" browser.
