I'm not sure it this can be done in MS paint, so you might have to use photoshop or another image editing program that can handle transparency

ehh, thanks for the answer... I do only have mspaint, and I know it can't be done there. That program has about as many functions as my little sisters tricycle. I need to pick up a copy of photoshop this week. It's like $90 right? And I had another question:
When you see all those crazy pictures people have made and edited using photoshop, can that stuff be done in Elements 6? Or do you need the huge CS3 version to do anything cool?
