I see this has been asked already, but the answer was insufficient: 'check the sticky' is not an answer.

What, pray tell, is a 'sticky?' There is nothing called 'sticky' in the Flash forum.

Where does one find such a thing on this site? Your search gives up no information regarding, 'sticky.'

If this site does not provide that type of forum advice, you should post that on your home page.

re: How to pause / play a Movie Clip

A sticky is a post that moderators or administrators of the forums make that will always stay at the top of the thread listings. For example the Actionscript forum has one called Actionscript Tutorials that will always retain its place at the top so people will always see and benefit from them. In order to play and pause a movie clip you can use the stop function and they play function.

There are three stickies on the Flash forum currently, and they should be the first three displayed on the first page. The first one is this one, http://bytes.com/forum/thread616202.html, which links to websites with great tutorials.
