IBMLDAPauthserver/IBMLDAPgroups, DB2 v. 9.5 ppc-Linux

Hello,

I've installed DB2 Enterprise v. 9.5 on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 LPAR
on a PowerVM server.

(The installation was thorny, because a special, very small vacpp.rte RPM-
package was needed, providing a libibmc++.so.1 file. I wonder why IBM
complicates things by leaving out this little hard-to-find piece.)

I now want to use LDAP-based authentication, and user and group lookups.
With DB2 v. 9.5 on x86_64, I believe that the LDAP security plugin was
included, but it doesn't seem to have been installed with the Linux-ppc
variant. Does the ppc-Linux version of DB2 have limitations compared to
the x86_64 version (in addition to db2cc not being part of the latest ppc
DB2s)?

Where can I find ppc-Linux LDAP security plugins for DB2?

Hello Troels,

Try to download this:
https://www14.software.ibm.com/webap...swg-dm-db2ldap
and look at the ../UNSUPPORTED/linuxPPC64/v9 directory.

Hope this will help,
Mark B.
