I'm an end user of a siebel program and i want to get some info on questions
relating to queries within the program. Who or where can I get some answers
beyond basic query operators?
Maybe I should be more specific in case someone here knows. The siebel 7
program has screen tabs which i guess you can say is the parent program e.g.
plans then there is a list applet and some view tabs under which is a form
applet. The highlighted list applet contains the plan details below in the
form applet. The view tabs are then children of the parent and within them
are grandchildren e.g. plans>records>record A.
Within any field I can use query operators and then execute a query to give
me all the records with those parameters or all the plans with those
paramaters on the view I am looking at. However, I believe I can run a query
from some fields using query language to give me what I want providing I
know how to design the search.... this is where I lack knowledge and want to
know where to find it. For example, say I want to find all the plans which
have a record A (in the records folder) that have a certain string of text
in a particular field..... how do i find the name of the
children,parent,grandchildren and specific field to run the query so it will
find what I am looking for? What language is the program written in...I
think the DB is DB 2.
Any help,assistance,guidance appreciated.
